NATE Brings UAS Community Together at Outdoor Event

The unmanned aerial system ecosystem came together yesterday at the NATE 2023 UAS EXPO at Valmont headquarters and fairgrounds in Valley, NE. More than 125 people attended the second year of the event, which featured educational panels and exhibitors. The theme of the event was the evolution of the technology and the growing number of use cases, according to Todd Schlekeway, President and CEO, NATE: The Communications Industry Contractors Association.

“We have big plans year over year to grow this event,” Schlekeway said. “It’s really remarkable to see how technology evolves from year-to-year, especially in the commercial UAS sector.”

Technology members are the fastest growing areas of membership in the association, consisting largely of the commercial UAS operators and software based companies. “There is a place for you at NATE if you’re in the commercial drone industry,” Schlekeway said.

Industry sponsors for the event included some familiar names and some news names. The presenting sponsor was Valmont; the Gold sponsor was Sony; the Silver sponsor was Vertical Bridge; and the Bronze sponsor was FieldSync Technologies.
